Food lovers in Ipswich, Queensland can now enjoy drone delivery of DoorDash orders. DoorDash Air has partnered with drone company Wing and shopping centre giant Mirvac to make this service possible.

Although the service was launched in November 2021, it has now established a hub for drone deliveries at Mirvac's Orion Springfield Central shopping centre. Restaurants and retailers using DoorDash's platform and Wing's delivery drones can send food and essentials to households in several suburbs. Eligible DoorDash customers will be invited to participate in the drone delivery service via the DoorDash app. Wing drones can carry a payload of just over 1kg and travel at a speed of around 110km/h.
