Accounting software provider AccountsIQ has acquired expense management software company ExpenseIn.

Following the acquisition, AccountsIQ Group will now support a combined customer base of over 350,000 users spanning over 40 countries. Their customers include Ascot, Corpay and Bath Rugby.

ExpenseIn will continue trading under its existing name, without disruption to customers or partners.

AccountsIQ chief executive Darren Cran said both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn have a shared vision for innovation and growth, with the two providers sharing an increasing number of joint customers in recent years.

“This acquisition bolsters our position as a leading finance management solution for ambitious finance teams in the mid-market,” said Cran.

Richard Jones, Managing Director of ExpenseIn added, “There’s a natural synergy between our companies, as both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn are passionate about delivering great products and experiences for our customers.”

“We share a joint commitment to provide the office of the CFO with market-leading software.”

The deal showcases AccountsIQ’s aspiration to expand into broader user functions and offer a multi-product solution for finance professionals.

Founded in 2015, AccountsIQ processes over a million expenses every month.

The group has plans to grow its team and invest further in product innovation, expanding beyond finance teams and into broader business user functions.
