Tax compliance automation software provider Avalara has announced the release of its updated connector for Salesforce’s Revenue Cloud.

The change will give Avalara’s customers using Salesforce’s Revenue Cloud simplified access to tax compliance services across CPQ, billing and subscription management.

"Our ongoing collaboration with Salesforce has been instrumental in delivering tax compliance solutions that grow alongside our mutual customers' needs," Meg Higgins, senior vice president of global partners at Avalara, said.

"With our shared vision for customer success, we're excited to introduce these latest advancements that further streamline tax compliance, helping businesses stay agile in today's complex regulatory landscape. Our close work with Salesforce enables us to continually evolve our solutions and support the dynamic challenges of our customers."

Salesforce aimed to create a unified environment for its customers that would simplify data connectivity between quotes, invoices and subscriptions. This integrated approach allows customers to use all transaction types seamlessly, Avalara said.

The new setup included automated field mappings from Salesforce to Avalara and supported configuration options that allow businesses to manage tax policies, multi-company mappings and unique tax codes.

Avalara currently serves over 41,000 customers in business and government in over 75 countries. It provides its customers with instant tax calculations, automated tax returns and e-invoicing services using the Peppol network.

"Avalara's integration aligns with our vision of streamlining revenue management for our customers," Meredith Schmidt, EVP and general manager of Revenue Cloud at Salesforce, said.

"With automated tax compliance integrated directly into the Revenue Cloud experience, businesses can devote more resources to innovation and delivering exceptional value to their clients."
