After receiving a record-breaking number of submissions from Australia’s commercial and asset finance sectors, Momentum Media, in partnership with principal partner Judo Bank, has officially announced the top-performing individuals, accounting firms, brokerages, aggregators, and lenders, competing for this year’s national Commercial Finance Awards.
Following two blockbuster years, the Commercial Finance Awards program is returning for its third year with unprecedented engagement, recording a total of 249 submissions, the highest number in the event’s history.
The finalists in the accounting categories demonstrate the talent, hard work, and dedication of the accounting profession across Australia, with seven accounting practices and three SME accountants represented among the shortlisted individual and group finalists.

A total of 162 finalists have been shortlisted across 23 competitive individual and company categories.
Other categories span key specialisations including asset finance, agricultural finance, cash flow lending, commercial mortgages, development finance, private finance, and SMSF broking.
Each finalist was evaluated through both quantitative and qualitative judging criteria, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and overall contribution to Australia’s commercial finance industry.
Speaking of the finalists, Momentum Media's managing editor, professional services, Jerome Doraisamy said: “Australia’s small-to-medium-sized businesses may be the engine room of our economy, but the accountants, brokers, BDMs, and lenders providing finance to them are the fuel keeping that engine turning.
“The annual awards celebrate the dedication and innovation of these high-performing professionals propelling the sector to new heights. Securing a spot as a finalist offers SME accountants and accounting practices national recognition, and distinguishes them as the elite players in the profession.
“Congratulations to all the finalists, and we look forward to crowning the winners at the awards luncheon in November!”
