RSM Australia has appointed Gabriel Ho as a partner to lead its new corporate finance division in Brisbane.

Gabriel Ho began his new appointment on Monday, bringing 20 years of experience to the role, including 10 years at KPMG Brisbane.

“This is a really exciting opportunity – professionally and personally – to join RSM Australia and work alongside the existing Brisbane partners and the wider team to lead a new division in Brisbane and replicate the success of RSM’s well established Corporate Finance divisions in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth which brings together a team of over 75 professionals,” he said.

“I am looking forward to bringing my local and international experience to establish a leading Corporate Finance offering serving the Brisbane and wider Queensland market, that is supported and strengthened by the firm’s national and global network.”

RSM said Ho’s experience in investment banking and CFA (certified financial analyst) charterholder status would enable him to provide tailored corporate financial advice to RSM’s Brisbane clients.

His appointment marked the opening of RSM Australia’s new Brisbane corporate finance division, which aims to position RSM as a full-service firm to local clients. It also brought RSM’s total partner count to 157 across its 65,000-strong team operating in 120 countries.

“RSM Australia commenced in Brisbane in 2013 and since that time has invested heavily in building a practice that is recognised as one of the leading firms in our market, providing high-quality audit, business and tax advisory, risk advisory and insolvency services to Queensland’s business community,” Steve Healey, managing partner of the Brisbane office, said.

“A local Corporate Finance offering is the final piece of the puzzle in cementing our place as a truly full-service firm in our local market.”
