The professional services firm has revealed numerous new appointments across various service lines, set to take effect in the new year.

Grant Thornton will welcome 26 new partners and principals, as well as nine promotions effective from 1 January 2026.

The appointments and promotions have been made across various service lines and the six offices across Australia in a move to reflect the firm’s commitment to its people and clients.

The firm noted that these appointments, combined with the internal promotions, would bump the total number of partners in the firm to 190 as of 1 January 2026.

From 1 January 2026, the firm would welcome nine promotions, which included two Sydney partners, one Brisbane partner, three Melbourne partners, one Adelaide partner, one Cairns partner and one Perth principal.

Those promoted, Duarte Augusto, Rebecca Moy, Kristen Ridgway, Max Tan, Kevin Cope, Laurel Qui Dixon, Stephen Borgna, Mark Allsop and Kevin Duda, were set to be spread across the service areas of audit and assurance, management consulting, risk consulting, tax, as well as private business tax and advisory.

Over the past six months, Grant Thornton has also welcomed the laterally hired partners and one principal, Paul Fontanot, Richard Storey, Martin Stone, Matthew Lane, David Haynes and Annelis Homersham across its network across various service lines.

These appointments also followed the 11 promotions the firm made in July this year to strengthen and bolster its service lines.

Said Jahani, chief executive, said he was proud and looking forward to having the new partner and principal cohort stepping into their roles in the new year.

“As part of our strategy to shape better futures, we believe in providing clear pathways for our people to senior roles within the firm demonstrated by these nine promotions from 1 January 2026,” he said.

“Each of these new leaders has shown a singular focus on client success – as well as living our purpose and values – which in turn drives our success as a firm and for our people.”
