New awards shine light on pioneering women in accounting

The brand-new Women in Accounting Awards celebrate the achievements of the women who are leading accounting firms, growing businesses, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

The awards provide a national platform for the top-performing women in accounting to showcase their results, talent, and dedication to their profession, whether they have advised Australia’s largest organisations, transformed finance functions, embraced new technology, or mentored the next generation of accountants.

It will recognise emerging leaders, partners, chief financial officers, practice owners, and finance executives.

There are 25 individual and nine group categories on offer for the accounting profession spanning accountants, SMSF and audit professionals, bookkeepers, thought leaders, employers, as well as the rising stars of tomorrow.

Innovative businesses and professionals will also be recognised this year, alongside employers and those with successful workplace wellbeing initiatives.

Women in the accounting profession are being urged to put their hand up and own their success at the Women in Accounting Awards.

This is not only an opportunity for professionals and businesses to celebrate their accomplishments with their colleagues, peers, and the wider industry; it could also strengthen their professional profile and build credibility with clients and colleagues.

It is also an opportunity for professionals to nominate a colleague who has gone above and beyond for their clients and their business, boosted efficiencies by improving systems and processes, led a team through change, or propelled the accounting profession to new heights.

Compiling a submission provides value to professionals and employers as it is an opportunity for them to articulate their value proposition and provide evidence of performance.

The finalists will be chosen using an independent, rigorous, and transparent judging process to ensure every professional and business earns their place on merit.

Momentum Media, in conjunction with event stakeholders Accountants Daily and Accounting Times, has developed a rigorous methodology to form the backbone of assessing, analysing, and benchmarking Australia’s leading women in the accounting profession.

Accountants Daily managing editor Jerome Doraisamy encouraged all women in Australia’s accounting profession to seize this opportunity to have their exceptional achievements recognised on the national stage.
