rsm australia celebrates lunar new year with lion dance performance

RSM Australia's Perth headquarters marked the start of the Lunar New Year with a cultural production celebrating the Year of the Rabbit.

RSM Australia, the national accounting firm, celebrated the start of the Lunar New Year with a cultural production hosted by its Perth headquarters. In collaboration with the Exchange Tower in Perth, RSM welcomed employees, visitors, and their families to the celebration of the Year of the Rabbit. The event was officiated by Xiaowen Shi, an RSM partner in the China practice group, who expressed her pleasure at the positive expression of the firm's support for the Chinese community.

"We've supported numerous Chinese businesses and clients with business operations in Australia and China," said Ms. Shi. "I am very pleased to say how authentic we are in our approach to engaging with our Chinese partners, clients, and advisers."

The cultural production was embraced by hundreds of employees and their families, who were treated to a lion dance performance by the award-winning Yaolin Kung Fu Association. The performance was accompanied by a feng shui routine, an aerial pole performance, and live percussion music.

Among the special guests at the event were David Sun, the president of the China Chamber of Commerce in Australia Perth, and James Clarke, the president of the Australia China Business Council WA. Both Dr. Sun and Mr. Clarke appreciated the demonstration of RSM Australia's ongoing engagement with the Chinese business community, according to the firm.

RSM Australia has a long and proud history of supporting the Chinese community, both in Perth and across Western Australia. The firm was established in 1922 as a husband and wife partnership selling a bookkeeping and recording system. Today, it has grown into a national accounting firm with over 1,600 staff members and 130 partners.

The cultural production marked a new chapter in RSM Australia's long-standing relationship with the Chinese community and demonstrated the firm's commitment to promoting cultural diversity and inclusivity. It was a celebration not just of the start of the Lunar New Year but also of the strong and vibrant relationship between RSM Australia and the Chinese community.
