ASIC has handed down a second decision regarding the failure of multiple companies within the Mansa Group, which currently owe nearly $77 million to more than 270 unsecured creditors.

Further to the disqualification and imprisonment of Krishnakumar Agrawal by ASIC in late 2025 for contraventions of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and Crimes Act 1900 (NSW) regarding his part in the failure of eight companies, Shashikumari Agrawal has now been handed her own sentence.

The companies in question, of which Shashikumari Agrawal was the director – United Capital Australia Pty Ltd, Mansa Sons Pty Ltd, Dawn Enterprise Pty Ltd, Patidar Group Pty Ltd, SKTM Investments Pty Ltd, SKTM Capital Pty Ltd, TKA Investments Pty Ltd, and TVESA Investments Pty Ltd – failed between 2010 and 2023.

The District Court of NSW sentenced Krishnakumar Agrawal to prison on 7 November 2025 for three years and three months for falsifying financial documents to obtain an advantage and three years and 10 months for dishonesty as a director with the intention to gain an advantage and cause detriment.

While ASIC acknowledged that Krishnakumar was at the centre of the Mansa Group’s conduct until its collapse in 2023, it was determined that his wife exhibited a disregard for the law and proper company management.

As part of the investigation, ASIC took note of supplementary reports lodged by Cathro & Partners liquidator Simon Cathro.

Shashikumari Agrawal has been disqualified from managing corporations for a maximum period of five years, ending on 9 June 2031.
