research platform to offer accountants 360 degree view of legislation

Wolters Kluwer has launched a cloud-based platform that streamlines tax and legal research for accounting professionals.

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Asia Pacific has announced the launch of CCH iKnowConnect, a cloud-based platform providing an intuitive browse experience to help speed up the research process for legal and accounting professionals.

The software firm said the platform provides a 360-degree view of legislation, enabling professionals to delve deeply into legal texts, resulting in a comprehensive view of the regulatory landscape by providing users direct access to commentary, cases, and specific details related to various forms of legislation.

Wolters Kluwer APAC managing director Izzy Silva said the CCH iKnowConnect provides relevant, in-depth research and tools through the simplicity of an intuitive and predictive search experience.

“This next-generation platform delivers tax and legal research and content supported by the expertise of Wolters Kluwer's in-house editorial team, providing necessary assurance that every piece of information has undergone rigorous scrutiny and verification,” he said.

The platform features an intuitive interface that provides advanced search functionality with tailored suggestions that accelerate the content discovery process and the return of accurate results, allowing users to obtain the information they need quickly and with surety.

The platform also categorises content according to practice areas, so tax and legal professionals can access the full spectrum of Wolters Kluwer coverage on any subject area more efficiently. Professionals working internationally can also access content from other jurisdictions all within the same research platform.

Digital content is published frequently, with daily updates ensuring tax and legal professionals stay informed regarding the latest news and developments as they happen.

Wolters Kluwer APAC product manager Sarah Ingram said more than 4,000 key customer insights were collected to create the platform with customers acting as co-creators and influencing the direction and evolution of Wolters Kluwer products.

“Their experiences and insights serve as the compass guiding the company towards delivering tools that truly resonate with professionals,” said Ms Ingram.

This launch of the research platform follows the release of new capabilities and integrations released earlier this month for Wolters Kluwer’s practice management and compliance software, CCH iFirm.

The software provider announced a raft of enhancements including a single-click feature that imports ledger data from CCH iFirm Client Accounting into a tax return in CCH iFirm Tax, helping users save time.

Wolters Kluwer also added a unique data mapping approach that connects key points in each tax return to the chart of accounts.
