Nick Kervin has rejoined BDO as an expert adviser on cyber security, privacy and digital transformation.

BDO has welcomed back Nick Kervin as its newest digital and technology partner, working with BDO Melbourne team’s client base.

After spending the past 20 years in Adelaide, Mr Kervin and his family moved to Melbourne in 2023, where he re-joined BDO, following a two-year break.

Mr Kervin has 30 years of experience working in IT and joins from his previous role at Frisk.

In his previous role, Mr Kervin helped transform the business and refresh the product strategy to target the detection of personal information, an area of growing demand after the recent large scale data breaches.

“At Frisk, I was able to set a new direction to target the product as being one of the most accurate detectors of Australian personal information lurking in unstructured data, helping businesses reduce their exposure to losing sensitive customer data,” said Mr Kervin.

“I’m so excited to be re-joining BDO in Melbourne with the opportunity to bring across my expertise and help grow the digital and technology advisory team alongside Schalk Kock.

“I’m also extremely eager to support the expansion of the global partnership between BDO and Microsoft in the Australian market with a specific focus on Microsoft’s Purview platform and their generative AI offering, Co-Pilot.”

Mr Kervin said he looked forward to working closely with the BDO Melbourne team’s client base and forging new relationships in the Victorian market.

“It’s an exciting time to be re-joining BDO, the Melbourne practice and national firm is growing from strength-to-strength and I’m looking forward to being a part of that,” he said.
