The firm says the newly created role reflects its commitment to accelerating its next phase of growth.

Nexia Sydney has announced the appointment of Paul Cottingham as chief strategy and growth officer, effective 17 August 2026.

The firm said the newly created role reflects the firm’s next phase of growth and its strategic direction.

Cottingham brings more than 25 years of experience in professional services in London and New Zealand, having held senior leadership positions with KPMG, PwC and, most recently, as chief operating officer of Meredith Connell, New Zealand’s largest litigation firm.

Nexia Sydney chief executive Amber Matthews said Cottingham’s experience, commercial mindset and deep understanding of the professional services sector will be a tremendous asset to Nexia Sydney.

“Combined with his collaborative leadership style and strong focus on growth, he is well positioned to help drive the firm’s continued transformation and success,” said Matthews.

Commenting on his new role, Cottingham said he was excited about the next chapter of growth for Nexia Sydney.

“I’m looking forward to working alongside the team, supporting our clients and drawing on my experience to help drive growth and sustained success,” he said.
