australianbiz launches exclusive q a forum for accountants

Sydney-based online resource site Australianbiz has established a Q&A forum aimed at connecting public practice accountants to share their expertise and find quick answers to their queries.

In an effort to provide a valuable resource for tax professionals, Australianbiz has launched an exclusive Q&A forum for public practice accountants. This online platform provides an opportunity for tax professionals to connect with their peers, ask questions, and get quick answers on a range of tax-related topics.

The Sydney accountant behind the project, Joe Kaleb, stated that many regional public practices lack resources and this forum offers a solution for them to turn to for quick answers to their queries and for advice on specialist topics.

"We believe that this is the only online platform in Australia where practicing accountants can communicate in real-time exclusively with other practicing accountants outside of a public setting to discuss a range of professional matters," said Kaleb.

The Q&A forum covers a wide range of subjects, including company law and tax, superannuation and estate planning, trusts, ATO systems and administration issues. The site has recruited a team of specialists, including tax partners, directors, lawyers, and insolvency specialists, to respond to technical tax, legal, and other issues.

Kaleb emphasized that the site is being administered by practicing accountants who understand the daily issues faced by their peers. Access to the forum is limited to practicing accountants who are Australianbiz subscribers, with annual memberships starting at $275. The site is monitored to ensure professional conduct remains a fundamental principle and will not include sponsors or advertisers.

Accountants can choose to remain anonymous or personalize their profile with their practice logo and display their specialties to their peers. This enables users to make contact with a specialist and potentially seek further assistance. Kaleb emphasized that the forum cannot be used for self-promotion, making statements, advocacy, or spamming purposes and is solely designed for the purpose of sharing knowledge with peers.

In addition to the Q&A forum, Australianbiz is an online resource for small businesses that provides a range of tax and financial management tools to help them become more profitable. The site includes monthly tax updates, quarterly articles on superannuation and estate planning, workplace law, asset protection and structuring, and business management, making it a valuable resource for practicing accountants.
