The two software companies extend their integration to Australia following the recent partnership announcement in the UK.

The integration of Airwallex and ApprovalMax has been extended to Australia and New Zealand following the recent announcement of their collaboration in the UK.

The two software companies said the integration offered the ability to create a batch of payments, submit them for automated approval processing and pay using Airwallex, all within ApprovalMax.

It also gave accounting firms the ability to manage client payments without requiring access to their bank account or handling manual file uploads, saving time and reducing errors.

Airwallex general manager for Australia and New Zealand Luke Latham, pictured, said the goal was to remove the burden of manual approvals and payments.

“We are helping Australian and New Zealand businesses get to a stage where they can approve and make faster payment runs,” he said. “This leads to better business efficiency and happier suppliers in the long run.”

“It also allows us to take our partners’ service offering to the next level, by significantly improving their clients’ experience while not taking on any additional risks where payments are concerned.”

“As businesses expand globally they need an end-to-end financial solution to facilitate fast, affordable payments while creating a frictionless customer experience.”

“This integration will not only simplify batch payments but also help businesses save on FX when paying employees and suppliers in their preferred currency.

“We’re excited to be partnering with ApprovalMax to further support businesses as they look to scale globally.”

ApprovalMax co-founder Helmut Heptner said the move would mean seamless payment runs.

“When batch payment approvals are managed by ApprovalMax, it transforms the way finance teams collect duly authorised invoices for batch payments while ensuring a controlled and seamless integrated data flow,” he said.

Announced at this week’s Xerocon event in Sydney, the two said the integration was especially relevant to organisations managing significant payment volumes involving foreign currency transactions. It eliminates any breaks in the chain between payments preparation and completion, allows payments to over 150 countries in 40 currencies and automates the audit trail.

Software-as-a-service company ApprovalMax helps businesses and accounting firms automate approval processes for accounts payable and receivable. Headquartered in the UK, it operates globally with staff in 24 countries. Melbourne start-up Airwallex offers international payment management and treasury and now has more than 100,000 business clients.
