William Buck appoints 5 new senior leaders
Accounting and advisory firm William Buck has revealed five fresh leadership appointments, including two internal promotions and three senior hires.
Last Friday (16 January), William Buck announced five new leadership appointments across its offices in Australia and New Zealand.
In Queensland, Ben Manera was internally promoted to partner in the firm’s business advisory division, while Lara Zhang was promoted to a principal of tax services in New Zealand.
Additionally, the firm welcomed three strategic senior hires, including Jannie Van Deventer as a business advisory partner in NSW, Angus Mann as a wealth advisory principal in NSW, and Todd Evans as an audit and assurance principal in South Australia.
Greg Travers, chair of the William Buck Group, said the appointments reflected the firm’s focus on bolstering its middle-market service delivery and strengthening its specialist capabilities.
“We’re passionate about nurturing internal talent and attracting leading experts to strengthen our capabilities in key areas,” he said.
“Ben and Lara’s promotions from within our Queensland and New Zealand offices demonstrate our continued focus on internal career progression, while the additions of Jannie, Angus and Todd bring significant expertise and strategic depth to the William Buck Group.”
Travers added that these leadership additions highlighted the firm’s strategy of identifying and hiring leaders who offered both high-level technical proficiency and alignment with the firm’s core values.
“Ben and Jannie’s extensive backgrounds in commercial advisory, combined with Ben’s 15 years of technical expertise and Jannie’s experience in navigating complex business growth, significantly bolster our Business Advisory capabilities,” he said.
“Likewise, Angus’ sophisticated investment approach for high-net-worth families, Lara’s proven track record in complex cross-border tax requirements, and Todd’s audit experience across the public and private sectors ensure we remain at the forefront of meeting our clients' evolving needs.”
